The Most Simple Valheim Comfort Guide - PingRite

Comfort in Valheim appears as a somewhat invisible stat, that is given only depending on specific furniture items within a house. Let's make it simple here!
Comfort in Valheim is a subtle but important mechanic that becomes more relevant as you expand your base and place additional furniture. While it isn’t always obvious at first, increasing your Comfort level plays a key role in improving stamina regeneration through the Rested buff.
Players familiar with Souls-like games already know how valuable stamina recovery can be during exploration and combat. In Valheim, Comfort directly affects how long the Rested buff lasts, making it an essential part of base building progression.
Before diving deeper into Comfort levels, it’s important to understand how the Rested buff works. When your character spends 20 uninterrupted seconds relaxing near Comfort-providing objects at your base, the Rested buff activates. This buff lasts 7 minutes plus an additional 1 minute for each Comfort level applied at the time it was received.
For example, resting near a simple Campfire under a roof provides:
Campfire: +1 Comfort
Shelter (roof): +2 Comfort
This results in a total Comfort level of 3, giving you 10 minutes of Rested buff (7 base minutes + 3 bonus minutes).
Improving your base with additional furniture and decorations increases Comfort further, allowing you to maintain the Rested buff for longer periods and significantly improving stamina regeneration during gameplay
