How to Install Mods on Your 7 Days to Die Server
From adding new blocks to changing the core mechanics, mods are a great way to enhance your 7 Days to Die experience. The game supports mods natively, making installation straightforward on both your client and your server. This guide covers both.
Downloading Your Mods
You can download mods from a website like 7daystodiemods.com.
- Locate and download the mod you want to install. Make sure the mod is compatible with your game version.
- Once downloaded, unzip the file to retrieve the mod folder containing the
ModInfo.XMLfile.
Installing Mods Locally
Before connecting to your modded server, you need to install the same mods on your local game client.

Close 7 Days to Die if it is running.

Locate your 7 Days to Die game files. You can do this by right-clicking the game in your Steam Library and selecting Manage > Browse local files.

Create a folder called
